Gastroenterology is the branch of medicine focused on the digestive system and its disorders. Gastroenterology departments deal with diagnosis, examination and treatment services for all diseases of the digestive system, including the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, liver, gallbladder and biliary tracts, and pancreas.
